This is simple yet you'd be surprised at how salespeople do not take it seriously.
The surest means of losing a prospect or client is:
NOT RETURNING PHONE CALLS
Sure everyone is busy but in today's business world every sales person has a cell phone - it's their life line.
So keeping in touch with prospects and clients is easier than ever. A sales person that won't return phone call ASAP is not worth dealing with. If you are a sales manager and you have sales people like this - get rid of them they feel they are more important than the client and at some point will cost you business, and in most cases they are lazy as well.
